Booking Experts published two weekly digests covering 13 to 20 October 2026. The headline items from those two weeks already went out on their own: a cap on how many nights an owner can book for themselves, Danish support plus a Visma e-conomic accounting link, and three App Store additions aimed at one market each.
This is everything else from those two weeks. Two of them change what a guest sees while booking, and one of them will quietly break a filter you saved months ago.
The checkout and guest portals
Browser autofill now works in the checkout portal and the guest portal. Guests can let the browser fill in personal details, address and contact details from data they have already saved.
Do not file this under cosmetics. Anything that removes typing from a checkout form moves conversion, and the guest portal is where people give up when they are doing it on a phone in a car park. If you track abandonment on the checkout portal, this is a change worth watching the number after.
Guests can see the amenities for the type they booked. They appear in the reservation overview in the guest portal, drawn from the amenities configured on that accommodation type. It cuts a category of pre-arrival email, the "does it have a dishwasher" kind, assuming your amenity data is actually filled in per type. If it is not, this change makes that gap visible to guests rather than only to you.
German checkout wording got fixed. Discount codes are now labelled "Rabatt" and payment vouchers "Gutschein", so German guests put each code in the right field. A small thing that was generating support contacts until now.
Confirmations
PDFs uploaded to a booking confirmation template attach to the confirmation email automatically. House rules, a park map, a terms document: upload once to the template and every confirmation carries it.
Useful, and worth a thought about size. A confirmation email with several PDFs bolted on is a different thing from a confirmation email with a link, and some corporate mail filters treat it differently. Check what the total comes to before you attach three documents to every booking.
Owners and costs
Periodic costs can carry an internal name. It shows in overviews and exports and sits separately from the public description, so the version your team recognises and the version the owner reads no longer have to be the same string.
Amenity preference costs now warn you off invoice rules. An alert points out that invoice rules are not recommended on these costs, because the guest already sees them during online booking. That is Booking Experts heading off double charging rather than adding a feature.
Exports and reconciliation
Reservation exports gained a column for imported foreign totals. It is there to reconcile against the original amount on reservations that came in from elsewhere. If you have been chasing cent-level differences on imported bookings by hand, this is the column that explains them.
Back office housekeeping
Guest labels are now called contact labels. The rename runs through views, filters and bulk actions, in every language. This is the one to look at deliberately. A rename that reaches filters and bulk actions is the kind of change that leaves a saved filter or a documented process pointing at a term that no longer exists. Check anything your team runs on a schedule.
The guest group screen shows capacity limits and refuses empty groups. Fewer bookings created with nobody in them.
The update badge tracks each item as read. Opening the menu no longer marks everything read, so you can leave an item unopened and still find it.
App Store
IIQ-Check joined the App Store. It automates guest surveys and review management using booking and guest data already in Booking Experts. The changelog does not name the markets it serves, which is worth asking about: the three apps added the week before were each scoped to one region.
What it adds up to
Nothing here forces a migration and nothing carries a deadline. The one job for today is the label rename. After that, if you run the checkout portal as your main direct channel, autofill is the change most likely to show up in your numbers.
