Booking Experts published its week 41 digest on 13 October with four new connections, and the pattern in them is worth noting: three of the four are built for a single national market.

Gatecloud, for the Benelux, matches reservation licence plates to barrier access so a vehicle gets through the gate on exactly the dates of the stay, with automatic check-in as an option. The detail that matters for anyone who has had a barrier fail on a Saturday changeover: Booking Experts says the Gatecloud bridge keeps working when the internet drops, and that it runs on existing barriers and plate cameras rather than requiring new hardware.

HIOT-Connect, from Edelboxx, is for the DACH market and links Booking Experts to Edelboxx power pedestals and distribution units. The pitch is coverage. These machine networks run independently of mobile reception, so the connection holds in the parts of a park where a phone shows no bars. For campsites with pitches down in a valley or behind a building, that is the difference between remote metering working and not.

Campez Couvert, for France, is camper insurance. Install the app and guest insurance sign-ups pass to Campez Couvert automatically, with no re-entry and no paperwork.

The fourth is accounting. Visma e-conomic can now be connected for automated bookkeeping sync, handling journal entries and ledger mapping without manual export. That joins the DATEV connector Booking Experts added at the end of September, and the shape of the strategy is becoming clear: the accounting package a park already runs gets wired in rather than replaced.

The same digest adds Danish to the PMS interface. Backoffice menus, settings and tables now all render in Danish for users who pick it as their personal language.

What it means for parks

Booking Experts has shipped new marketplace apps in each of the last several digests, and almost all of them are regional. September brought Goboony and Glampingtips.nl for the Benelux through the Qenner channel manager, Valoma for Dutch holiday parks, Recras for activity packages and the DATEV connector for German accounting. CampMap arrived in week 40.

For a park operator the practical reading is that the integration you need probably exists for your country, or will, and the one you read about in a release note probably does not work where you are. Gatecloud is Benelux. HIOT-Connect is DACH. Campez Couvert is France. None of the three is described as available anywhere else, and Booking Experts does not say whether any of them will travel.

That regional-first approach suits a vendor whose customers are holiday parks and campsites in a handful of European markets, where barrier systems, power metering and insurance products genuinely differ country by country. It also means the app store is not a like-for-like comparison with the marketplaces run by the big short-term rental platforms. Fewer apps, each one closer to how a park in that country actually runs.

The smaller improvements in the digest are housekeeping. An alert now warns against using invoice rules for amenity preference costs, since those are already shown to guests during booking. The update notification badge tracks articles individually instead of marking everything read when you open the menu.
