Booking Experts has added Danish to its back office and an automated Visma e-conomic connection to its accounting integrations. Both landed in the same weekly release on 13 October.

Danish is now selectable in personal language preferences, and Booking Experts says the back office menus, settings and tables are all translated rather than partially done.

The Visma e-conomic connection synchronises bookkeeping and financial data directly, and Booking Experts says it handles journal entries and ledger mapping automatically.

Reading the pattern

Those two items in one release are hard to read as unrelated. e-conomic is the accounting package Danish small and medium businesses actually use, and a translated interface is the other half of what a Danish park needs before it can run the system day to day.

Booking Experts has not announced a Denmark launch, named a Danish customer or said anything about the market, so the inference is ours rather than theirs. But it is the obvious one, and it follows a run of market specific work: the same week brought three app store integrations each aimed at a single country, Gatecloud for the Benelux, HIOT-Connect for the DACH region and Campez Couvert for France.

For a platform built around Dutch and Belgian holiday parks and campsites, that is a company methodically working outward one country at a time, fixing the language and the accounting plumbing before it sells.

What it means for operators

If you run parks in Denmark, this is the release that makes Booking Experts a realistic option rather than a near miss. Automated journal entries and ledger mapping into e-conomic removes the export and re-key loop that usually kills these evaluations, and your bookkeeper can keep working in the tool they know.

Two things to establish before you count on it. Booking Experts does not say which parts of the Visma range this covers, and Visma sells a lot of products under that name across the Nordics. e-conomic specifically is the Danish package, so confirm it matches what your accountant runs. There is also no pricing, so whether the connector is included or billed as an integration is an open question for your account manager.

A note for everyone else. Automatic ledger mapping is a convenience, not a free pass. Park revenue arrives in pieces, with accommodation, tourist tax, deposits, pool points and owner costs each belonging in a different place, and a mapping accepted straight out of the box is how those end up consolidated into one revenue line. Sit down with whoever closes your books and agree the mapping before the first sync, because unpicking three months of misposted journal entries takes longer than setting it up properly did.

The Danish translation also carries a small operational catch worth knowing about. Language is a personal preference per user, not a property setting, so a park with Danish and Dutch staff will have people looking at differently labelled screens. That is fine in daily use and briefly confusing when somebody writes a training note or reads a field name out over the phone.
