Track published a run of product updates in October 2026. The headline items went out on their own. What is left is four pages of smaller work covering owner statements, the front desk, channel management and the call centre, and two of them carry a change you should know about before a guest notices it first.

This covers 6 to 31 October. Track dates its product update pages by month rather than by day, and points at release notes dated 30 September, 7, 14 and 21 October, so the precise landing date for any single item is not published.

Owner statements and month end

Period statements now have a Preview button. It sits next to Save Statement on Generate Period Statements and opens a view in a new tab. Track says the preview matches the saved statement's amounts, rows, totals and owner payment, and reservation and work order rows link through to the folio or the work order. Previews are not saved.

This is the change worth having. Checking an owner statement by saving it, reading it, finding the problem and unpicking it is how statement errors reach owners in the first place. Being able to look before you commit, with the detail rows clickable, turns month end from a sequence of corrections into a review.

Several reliability fixes come with it. A failed automatic statement run is now discarded, so the period can be regenerated rather than left half-written. Inactive owners with no balance and no new activity drop off the owner list. Owners get one "new statement" email per published statement rather than several. Voided vendor bills can no longer be edited. The Balance Sheet now loads with Include Deferred/Pending set to No.

Owner statement PDFs also show your company's currency symbol, falling back to the three-letter code when the symbol cannot print. No setup needed.

Two reporting corrections round it out. The Booking Summary export adds Transfers and Net Payments columns, and Net Payments now matches the Payments figure on screen, which it did not before. Derived fees now follow the parent fee's per-unit percentages.

If you have been reconciling the Booking Summary export against the on-screen numbers and quietly trusting the screen, this is the month that gap closes. It is also worth asking what your previous exports said, if any of them went to an owner or an accountant.

Channels

Airbnb has retired the Super Strict 30 and Super Strict 60 cancellation policies for most listings, and Track now substitutes Firm. When Airbnb declines the policy, Track sends Firm instead and saves that on the unit, so listing updates keep flowing rather than failing.

Read that twice if you used Super Strict. The practical effect is that the cancellation terms on those listings have changed, Track has written the new policy onto the unit, and nobody had to approve it. The alternative was listings that stopped updating, so the behaviour is defensible. It is still a commercial term that moved. Check which units were on Super Strict, look at what Firm now allows, and decide whether your rates still make sense against it.

Reservations without a guest phone number now import. That covers Booking.com, and also Expedia, SynXis and TravelClick. Before this they did not arrive, which is the worst kind of integration failure because nothing appears to be wrong.

Accessibility amenities shown on photos, such as shower grab rails, now sync to Airbnb. Small, and it matters to the guests who search on it.

Unified Promotions can now build one discount and run it across Booking.com, Marriott, Airbnb and VRBO. Airbnb's 15% Top-Rated Guest discount is available through it, aimed at guests rated 4.8 or higher with at least three reviews.

Also in the channel work: the Conservation Fee now syncs using the fee type Booking.com currently accepts, large photo updates are paced to Booking.com's rate limits, Airbnb notifications continue to surface in the Channels view and the Airbnb Host Notifications report, and selecting Inntopia when adding a channel now opens its setup page.

Front desk and guest communication

Guests emailing spreadsheets, text files and video now get those attachments opening in the conversation rather than nowhere. XLS, XLSX, TXT, MP4, MOV and AVI are supported, each with a file icon.

Messages from co-hosts and Airbnb Support no longer mark a finished conversation unread, and the New Messages alert counts only new guest messages. If your team has been reopening conversations all day to find an Airbnb system message, that stops.

The Tape Chart gets three fixes: trackpad swiping no longer throws you back to the previous page, you can scroll while dates are still loading, and with the occupancy filter applied, smaller units show prices too. Booking from a saved quote now shows the deposit due, and the back arrow returns you to the Tape Chart.

The guest portal greets guests by name. And deactivating an access control account now stops door codes cleanly, with the status visible on both the unit and the reservation, which is the fix for the case where a disabled account left codes live.

Call centre

TrackPulse abandonment reports now exclude calls from numbers flagged "No Data Dip" in Contact Exceptions, and show a notice with a link to Contact Exceptions when any number is flagged, in the export as well as on screen. The per-caller columns are renamed Abandoned Calls from Caller and Net Abandoned Calls from Caller, and Net Abandoned Calls now actually populates in both places.

The Call Log shows international numbers with their country code, and unidentified callers as Anonymous. The Survey Responses report now includes every answered response, text and yes/no surveys included. Agents get a conversation card after every call, and the Incoming Call popup closes when a call is missed.

If you report on abandoned calls to anyone, your numbers will move this month, because the definition changed and a column that was empty now has values in it. Say so before someone asks.

What it adds up to

Two things to act on. Find out which units were on Super Strict and look at the Firm terms Track wrote in their place. And re-run any Booking Summary export you have shared recently, now that Net Payments reconciles.

Track's larger October news went out separately: Apple Pay across the guest portal and payments checkout, and the Airbnb masked phone field that needs a setting changed before staff can call guests. The previous window is in our roundup for 12 September to 5 October.
