Track agents can now quote, send and book from inside a TrackPulse lead

Track has put quoting into the lead record. Agents working a TrackPulse lead can now price, save, send and book a TrackPMS quote from a Quote tab on the lead itself, without opening the tape chart partway through a call.

For anyone running a reservations team, that is the whole point. The old flow meant the agent left the lead, found the unit and rate somewhere else, built the quote, then came back and tried to remember where the conversation had got to. Every one of those hops is a chance to lose the caller.

What the new tab does

Quote from the lead. Agents search units and rates and save a quote directly from the Quote tab. The quote stays attached to the lead and to the guest it was created for, so a colleague picking the lead up later can see what was offered.

Send it, then book it. Agents can send the quote to the guest and book it as soon as the guest commits. Booking opens the Close Won window with the reservation already filled in, so the lead is ready to be marked won rather than needing to be reconciled afterwards.

Guest matching happens in the background. With Contact Synchronization set to Create or Update, Pulse matches the guest to an existing TrackPMS contact or creates one. The agent is not stopped mid-call to deal with a duplicate record.

The setup detail that decides whether this works

That Contact Synchronization setting is the part to check before you announce this to the team. Track points at a separate setup guide alongside the release, which is usually a sign that the feature does not simply appear switched on and configured the way you want.

If synchronization is not set to Create or Update, the guest matching step is the one that breaks, and it breaks in the least convenient place: on a live call, when an agent is trying to close. Worth testing with a real lead and a real guest who already exists in TrackPMS, rather than with a clean test record that will match nothing.

Who this is actually for

This needs both TrackPulse and TrackPMS. Managers running the PMS without the call centre product get nothing here. Track does not say whether the Quote tab depends on a particular plan or add-on within Pulse, so if you are on a smaller configuration, ask rather than assume.

The release is also silent on what happens to a quote that goes stale. Quotes carry rates, and rates move. Nothing in the announcement describes an expiry, a revalidation step, or what an agent sees if they book a saved quote a fortnight after the rate changed. That matters because the feature explicitly encourages saving a quote now and booking it when the guest comes back. Ask how the price is handled at that second moment before you build a follow-up process on top of it.

What to do this week

Set Contact Synchronization, work one real lead end to end from first call to Close Won, and watch where the agent still reaches for the tape chart out of habit. That is where your training needs to point.

Then look at your reporting. If quotes have until now lived outside the lead, your conversion numbers have been measuring something slightly different from what they will measure next month. Note the date you turn this on, so the step change in the data has an explanation attached to it.
