OwnerRez seasons can still be quoting a cancellation policy you deleted

OwnerRez has told affected accounts to go and check their seasons, because some of them are still pointing at a cancellation policy that was disabled or deleted. Until that is fixed, new quotes and direct bookings arriving in those seasons can go out on refund terms you thought you had retired.
What went wrong
When a cancellation policy was edited, disabled or deleted, OwnerRez already updated any property using it. Seasons were the gap. A season carrying that policy as its Direct Booking Policy kept referencing the old one, so new quotes and direct bookings with arrivals inside the season could use the outdated refund terms.
OwnerRez says it has fixed the underlying behaviour, so future changes to a cancellation policy will flow through to the seasons using it, the way they already do for properties.
What it has not done is change existing seasons for you. The company says that is deliberate, because it wants the operator to decide which policy should apply rather than having one chosen for them.
What you have to do
Go to Settings, then Pricing, then Seasons, and open each season OwnerRez listed in its email to you. Look at the Direct Booking Policy field. A disabled policy now shows "(disabled)" before its name and a deleted one shows "(deleted)".
Pick an active cancellation policy, or choose "-- Select Policy --" to fall back to the property's own policy. Then save the season.
OwnerRez flags one trap worth repeating. Opening a season and saving it without changing the Direct Booking Policy does not resolve anything. You have to actively select a different policy or the property default.
Bookings and quotes already out there
Existing bookings keep the cancellation policy the guest originally agreed to, which is the correct outcome and also means you cannot quietly tighten terms after the fact.
Open quotes are a different matter. If you have quotes sitting out there that should carry your current policy, OwnerRez says you can update them in bulk at Settings, then Rules, then Cancellation Policies, then Batch Update, selecting Quotes only.
Why it is worth doing today
The exposure here is cash. A guest who books into one of these seasons is agreeing to the refund terms the quote shows them, and if those terms are more generous than your current policy, that is the deal you have to honour. The longer an affected season sits unfixed, the more bookings land on it.
OwnerRez emailed the accounts and seasons it identified, so the list of what to fix is in your inbox rather than something you have to hunt for. If you have several accounts, or you share a login with a co-manager who handles email, it is worth confirming the message was actually seen by someone who can go and change the setting.
