Reconnecting an Airbnb listing in OwnerRez silently cut its content sync, and the fix does not undo it

OwnerRez has fixed a bug that quietly downgraded Airbnb listings from full content sync to rates and availability only. It is emailing affected customers, and it is not switching anything back on their behalf. If you have reconnected an Airbnb listing at any point, this one needs five minutes of your attention.
What was happening
A listing set to sync Everything, once disconnected and then reconnected on the Airbnb channel's Connect Properties page, came back with its Sync setting showing Rates & Availability instead. Saving the page applied that change with no warning.
Three things could trigger the disconnect: using Disconnect Properties, Airbnb unlinking the listing on its side, or reauthorising the channel. The last two are the dangerous ones, because neither is a deliberate act by the operator. A reauthorisation is routine housekeeping. Nobody expects it to change what gets published.
With Rates & Availability, rates and availability keep flowing to Airbnb. What stops is everything else: listing details, descriptions, amenities, booking settings, photos and rooms.
Why it mattered without looking like it mattered
This is the worst shape a sync bug can take, because nothing breaks. Bookings keep arriving. The calendar stays accurate. Pricing updates land.
Meanwhile every content change made in OwnerRez since the reconnection never reached Airbnb. New amenity added after a renovation, corrected sleeping arrangement, updated photos, revised booking settings. All of it sat in OwnerRez looking correct while Airbnb showed the old version. Operators who manage content centrally and check it in one place would have no reason to notice.
The fix, and what it deliberately does not do
The Connect Properties page now keeps a listing's previous Sync setting when you reconnect it. Saving also prompts "Overwrite with OwnerRez data?" before mapping the listing.
OwnerRez has not switched existing listings back to Everything, and it explains why: Everything replaces Airbnb content with OwnerRez content, so flipping it back automatically would overwrite anything edited directly on Airbnb since the reconnection.
That is the right call, and it is worth understanding before you act. If you or a co-host edited the listing on Airbnb during the window, switching Sync back to Everything will wipe those edits. Check what is on Airbnb now, decide which version you want to keep, then set the switch.
What to do
Open your Airbnb channel and check the Sync setting on the listings named in the email OwnerRez sent you.
If you want OwnerRez to resend listing details to Airbnb, change Sync to Everything, following the Mapping Properties section of the Airbnb Connecting & Setup support article.
If you manage that listing's content on Airbnb on purpose, leave it on Rates & Availability. Nothing needs changing.
If you do nothing at all, rates and availability keep syncing exactly as now. The listing content on Airbnb simply freezes as it is until you edit it there or switch Sync back.
The wider lesson
Worth a note in your own operating procedure regardless of which PMS you run. Any time a channel connection is reauthorised or relinked, check the sync scope afterwards. Channel integrations have more settings than anyone remembers, and a reconnection is the moment they are most likely to shift. This bug is now fixed in OwnerRez, but the general failure mode is not specific to OwnerRez or to Airbnb.
The underlying fix shipped with OwnerRez's 4 November release, listed as preserving sync mode when reconnecting Airbnb listings after disconnect or reauthorisation.
