OHIP (Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform)

Oracle's API layer for connecting third-party software to OPERA. Vendors that want their product to exchange data with an OPERA property, a spa system, a POS, a guest messaging tool, build against OHIP rather than against OPERA directly.

What typically crosses the boundary: reservations and availability, guest profiles, and folio postings so an outside system can put a charge on the room bill.

Two things are worth checking before buying an OHIP-based integration. First, which OPERA releases it is certified against, since certification is version-specific and OPERA Cloud and on-premise OPERA are not interchangeable. Second, who pays for OHIP consumption. Oracle has historically charged integration partners on a transaction basis, and whether the vendor absorbs that or passes it on is a question for the contract rather than the demo.

A listing on Oracle Marketplace confirms an integration exists. It does not confirm it is actively maintained or supported in your region.
