Three more apps have landed in the Booking Experts app store, announced across the monthly app store recap on 2 November and the week 44 digest on 3 November. One is country-specific, as usual. Two are not, which is a change.

Abacus Connector, for Switzerland

Abacus is the accounting package a large share of Swiss businesses run, and the connector exports reservation data from Booking Experts and converts it to Abacus import files in one click. Account mappings are customisable and date ranges are flexible, so a park can match the export to how its own ledger is structured rather than reshaping the ledger around the file.

There is a 60-day free trial, which is longer than most apps in this store offer and suggests Booking Experts wants Swiss parks to test it against their current manual process before committing.

It is marked available for Switzerland only.

Nostium, for activities and dining

Nostium makes on-site activities and food bookable online: bowling, minigolf, a table for dinner. For a park or campsite with its own facilities, that turns a walk-up operation into something guests can reserve before they arrive, and it opens a second revenue line against the same stay.

No market restriction is stated.

iiQ-Check, for guest surveys and reviews

iiQ-Check automates guest surveys and review management, and the integration passes booking and guest data through so communication and feedback requests can be targeted rather than sent to everyone. The app supports Spanish, Danish, German, English and French.

That language list is the interesting part, because it is wider than the markets Booking Experts usually ships into. Spanish in particular points somewhere other than the Benelux and DACH heartland.

The accounting pile keeps growing

Abacus is now the fifth accounting connection in roughly six weeks, after DATEV for Germany at the end of September, Visma e-conomic in week 41, and Visma eAccounting and QuickBooks appearing in the integration layer since.

The same week 44 digest tidied that up. Accounting integrations no longer demand journal mapping for systems that do not need it, so connecting Visma eAccounting or QuickBooks no longer throws mapping errors for a step those platforms never required. Anyone who abandoned one of those connections because of that error can try again.

The strategy behind all of it is consistent and worth naming plainly: Booking Experts is not trying to replace the finance system a park already uses, it is wiring each national package in one at a time. That is slower than building one generic export, and considerably more useful if you happen to be in a country that has been done.

For parks

If you are in Switzerland and still exporting reservations to Abacus by hand, take the trial. Sixty days is enough to cover a full month-end twice.

If you run your own restaurant, bar or activities and currently take bookings for them on paper or over the phone, Nostium is the one to look at, and it appears not to be limited by country.

And the usual caveat with this app store still applies. Check the market before you plan around an app. Three of the five apps in October's recap were single-country, and the two that were not did not say so explicitly either way.
