AdvanceCM adds check-in and check-out restrictions, set per rental and per channel

Tokeet's AdvanceCM has added check-in and check-out restrictions, and the company says it was the feature its users asked for most. It sits in the Rentals module and was documented on the Tokeet blog on 5 October 2026.

Three things are now possible. You can block arrivals or departures across a date range. You can allow them only on chosen weekdays. And you can apply either rule to all booking channels or only to selected ones.

Why operators wanted it

Fixed turnover days are the obvious case. A cottage that only works as a Saturday to Saturday week has, until now, had to be defended by hand on AdvanceCM: minimum stay settings get you part of the way, but they do not stop a guest arriving on a Wednesday and leaving the week in two unsellable pieces.

Cleaning capacity is the other case. If you have one cleaner and six properties, six Friday departures is not a schedule, it is a problem. A weekday restriction on departures spreads the work without anyone policing the calendar.

The per-channel part is what makes it more than a calendar rule. You can keep your direct booking site open to any arrival day while holding a stricter pattern on the OTAs, which is a reasonable way to make direct booking the easier option during peak weeks.

What the announcement does not say

Tokeet does not list which channels accept which restriction. That matters, because the OTAs do not implement this the same way. Closed to arrival and closed to departure are long-established on some channels and handled differently or not at all on others, and a restriction your PMS holds but your channel ignores shows up as a booking you did not want rather than an error message.

So the test before you rely on it is specific: set a restriction on one rental, push it to each channel you actually sell on, and try to book against it from the guest side.

The post also does not say what happens to reservations already on the books when you add a restriction, and it gives no launch date beyond its own publication. If you have bookings that would now breach a rule you are about to set, check them before you set it.

A note on the name

Readers who know this vendor as Tokeet should be aware that the product is AdvanceCM. The blog still runs at blog.tokeet.com and the two names are used interchangeably, including inside the release notes, which makes searching for documentation more annoying than it needs to be.

The honest framing

This is a gap being closed, not new ground. Arrival and departure restrictions are standard in hotel property management systems and in most channel managers, and their absence will have cost some AdvanceCM users bookings they could not sell around.

That it arrived as the most requested feature says something useful about where AdvanceCM sits: strong enough on channel management that operators stayed, thin enough on stay controls that they kept asking. Worth watching whether minimum and maximum stay rules get the same per-channel treatment next.
