Compliance and invoicing

German e-invoicing went live on 11 September and French e-invoicing on 21 August. Both generate compliant electronic invoices from inside Hostaway with no extra setup. If you operate in either country you were most likely handling this outside the PMS until now, and both markets have regulatory deadlines attached, so this is the item in this list most likely to save you an actual purchase.

Invoicing across OTA channels including Airbnb arrived on 11 August. You can now raise invoices for reservations from any connected channel rather than only the ones that previously supported it.

Guest messaging and AI

AI Suggestions and Translate landed in the inbox composer on 10 September, helping draft and translate replies. AI Replies got a rebuilt onboarding flow the same day, aimed at making rule setup easier to find. CoHost, the AI assistant, now works inside the Inbox and can read listing knowledge bases, and it reached the mobile app on 26 August. A broader CoHost reliability update shipped on 30 July.

That is five separate AI releases in six weeks. Read that as a direction of travel rather than five features: Hostaway is pushing guest messaging toward something that drafts for you by default.

The inbox itself was redesigned on 7 August, with the tools you use most brought into one layout.

Operations

A setting added on 21 August refuses a booking outright when smart reassignment cannot resolve a conflict, instead of accepting it and leaving you a double booking to untangle. This changes what your system does on its own, so check the setting matches how you want to trade an occasional lost booking against an occasional overbooking.

Financial data permissions became granular on 30 July, replacing the previous all-or-nothing access to financial and occupancy data. If you have cleaners, VAs or junior staff in your account, this is worth ten minutes.

Guest-facing

Door codes and Wi-Fi details now disappear from the Guest Portal after checkout, as of 4 August. A small change with a real security point behind it.

Property pages went live on Booking Website Pro on 18 August, giving each listing its own page on your direct booking site.

Reporting

Analytics boards became exportable on 11 August. The Expenses and Extras module got an interface refresh on 26 August, with cleaner navigation and no functional change.
