Composable Stack

A composable stack (or composable hospitality platform) is a hotel tech architecture where a lean core PMS exposes open APIs and the operator assembles the rest — channel manager, booking engine, payments, guest messaging, revenue management — from independent best-of-breed vendors.

Versus the bundle

The alternative is the all-in-one platform, where one vendor supplies most of the stack (Cloudbeds, Guesty, Mews). Bundles are simpler to buy and support; composable stacks are easier to change one piece at a time. Apaleo is the clearest example of the composable approach among PMS vendors.

Who it suits

Operators with technical staff, multi-brand groups with differing needs, and anyone who has been burned by a migration where changing the PMS meant changing everything else.
