This covers the smaller Cloudbeds releases from September 2026, the ones that did not get their own announcement. Cloudbeds dates its product updates by month rather than by day, so treat the window as the month.

Taxes

The most useful item here is new configuration for length-of-stay taxes, and it is the one worth reading carefully if you take long stays.

There are now two methods. Per-night based "evaluates each night independently against the configured thresholds", which fits a tax that steps down partway through a stay: seven euros a night for nights one to eight, four euros from night nine on. Full-stay based "evaluates the reservation's total duration and applies the matching rule to the entire stay", so one rate covers the whole booking based on how long it ends up being.

The second method handles extensions properly, which is the part that used to need a manual correction. In Cloudbeds' own example, a reservation originally taxed for 20 days that gets extended to 30 and becomes exempt now triggers an automatic offsetting transaction to reverse the tax already charged. You can set a threshold's maximum to "Forever" where a rule has no upper limit.

One caveat from Cloudbeds, and it matters: "Cloudbeds cannot determine which calculation method is required by local law." Picking the wrong method still produces a clean-looking folio, just the wrong tax. Confirm the night, date and guest-count thresholds with your local tax authority before you configure it, because nothing in the system will tell you that you got it wrong.

Automations

Automations in the Guest Experience Platform can now check a reservation's ticket history before they run, filtered by task type. The example Cloudbeds gives is generating a housekeeping pick-up ticket only for reservations that had the relevant ticket type, rather than firing the automation at every booking and sorting out the noise afterwards.

If you have automated messages that currently go out more widely than you would like, this is the condition that narrows them.

Payments

Hopper virtual cards now process automatically. Under Finance then Payment Options, find Hopper in the channel list and choose when the card is authorized or charged. Previously these were a manual job every time.

Small, but it is the kind of manual step that quietly eats a front desk shift, and Hopper volume is not trivial for properties that take it.

Also out in September, covered separately

Cloudbeds launched its own RMS built on the Signals data platform, became a recommended provider for Preferred Hotels' 625 member properties, connected to Klook and to Oolio's three POS systems, and shipped an AI feature that writes and posts five-star Airbnb guest reviews on your behalf.
