Cloudbeds added four changes to its product update page in October 2026. None came with a press release and none is large on its own. One saves a trip to the Airbnb extranet. One puts a ceiling on money Cloudbeds bills you for.

A word on dates first. Cloudbeds labels its product updates with a month and no day, and the detail links point into help centre articles rather than dated release notes. So you cannot tell from the page when a change reached your property, only that it landed somewhere in October. That is why everything below carries the month and nothing more precise.

Channels

Airbnb's High Rated Guest Discount and Mobile Only Discount can now be switched on from inside Cloudbeds. Both sit in your Airbnb channel settings, next to the New Listing Promo that was already there. Cloudbeds sums it up as "no need to switch between platforms", and that is the real benefit: these are discounts you used to set in the Airbnb extranet and then had to remember you had set.

Be clear about what this is not. It covers named Airbnb discount types, not Airbnb promotions in general, and the page does not say whether an enabled discount shows up in Cloudbeds' own rate views. If you also run a dynamic pricing tool, look at what your net rate becomes on a mobile booking from a high rated guest before you leave both discounts on. Stacked discounts are where this kind of convenience usually bites.

Payments and policies

Smart Policies can collect one fixed deposit for a whole reservation. Pick "Fixed amount per reservation" in the Amount list on the Payment step and the policy charges the same sum whether the booking is one room or five, one night or ten. Cloudbeds uses $50 at booking as its example.

That closes a real gap for anyone who wants a flat booking deposit rather than one that scales with rooms or nights. Two housekeeping notes come with it. The other fixed options have been renamed, and existing policies charge exactly what they charged before. So nothing moves on its own, but if you have written your deposit rules down for reception staff, the option names in that document are now wrong.

Transaction reports in Cloudbeds Payments take custom columns. You choose which columns appear and in what order. Cloudbeds frames this as useful because Payments keeps adding payment methods and transaction detail, which is an honest way of saying the default report has been getting wider.

Marketing spend

Conditional Top-Ups cap automatic campaign refills in Cloudbeds Digital Marketing. Set a monthly limit, campaigns keep running, and the automatic refills stop once they hit the ceiling.

This is the item to act on if you advertise through Cloudbeds, because of what it tells you about the state before it: automatic top-ups with no monthly limit. A cap is the right fix. It is also worth noticing that the guard sits on spend Cloudbeds invoices you for, so setting the limit costs nothing and leaving it unset is the risk.

What it adds up to

No deadlines, no migrations, nothing deprecated. Call it ten minutes of admin. Turn on the Airbnb discounts you were managing in the extranet, set a Conditional Top-Up ceiling if you run Cloudbeds campaigns, and tell whoever takes deposits that the policy option names have changed.

Cloudbeds' bigger October news went out on its own. The company launched its own POS, with room charges posting straight to the folio, and said it will put US hotels inside Meta's AI agent as direct bookings.
