Lodgify adds HostReady to its marketplace, bringing US compliance tracking into the stack

Lodgify has added HostReady, a short-term rental compliance tool for US hosts, to its app marketplace. Connect the two and HostReady imports your properties, then shows what each one needs in licensing, zoning and tax terms.
The listing went live on 16 September 2026.
What it does
The integration works property by property, which is the only way compliance is useful. After importing from Lodgify, HostReady shows the licensing, zoning and tax requirements that apply to each address, along with a checklist of what is still outstanding.
It also monitors local rule changes over time rather than producing a one-off snapshot. That is the part that separates this from a research exercise. Short-term rental rules change at city and county level with little notice and no central source, and a requirement you satisfied last year can lapse because the rule moved rather than because you did anything wrong.
The tool is for US hosts. Lodgify did not state pricing for HostReady, whether it carries an additional subscription, or which Lodgify plans can use the integration.
What it means for operators
Compliance is the risk in this business that is easiest to ignore and most expensive to get wrong. A missing permit does not usually surface as a warning. It surfaces as a fine, a forced delisting, or a licence application refused because of a prior violation. Managers running properties across several jurisdictions carry that risk in a spreadsheet, if they track it at all.
Bringing it into the marketplace alongside the PMS is sensible, but it is worth being clear about what this does and does not solve. A tool that tracks requirements tells you what is needed. It does not file anything for you, and the checklist is only as good as its coverage of your particular city. Before relying on it, check it against a jurisdiction you already know well and see whether it gets the answer right. If it does, that is a reasonable basis for trusting it where you have less knowledge.
The monitoring claim is the one to test over time rather than at signup. Every compliance product promises to track rule changes. The question is how quickly a change in a mid-sized county actually shows up in the product, and that is not something a demo can answer.
The wider pattern
Lodgify has been building out its marketplace steadily, with Assur-Lodge for insurance in January and HostReady now. The direction is familiar across the category: rather than building every adjacent capability, the PMS becomes the place where you connect the specialists.
For operators that is mostly good news, because it means you can assemble what you need rather than wait for a roadmap. It also means the integration quality matters more than the app list length. A marketplace entry tells you a connection exists. It does not tell you how much of your data flows across it, how often it syncs, or what happens when it breaks.
There is no action required for existing Lodgify customers. This is a new app available in the marketplace, not a change to anything you already run.
