Elite Hospitality & Management Cambodia has moved its 16 properties onto Hotelogix's multi-property PMS, replacing a mix of systems that left head office without a group-level view.

EHM Cambodia runs city hotels and beach resorts across the country, and manages restaurants alongside the rooms business. Before the switch, its properties ran on what the company calls disparate solutions with limited features. Corporate staff could not track guest profiles centrally, could not see portfolio-level metrics in one place, and were doing a lot of the work by hand.

The new setup gives the corporate team a single sign-on to monitor group KPIs across operations, revenue, distribution and marketing, and holds guest profiles centrally rather than property by property.

Faz Ghotbi, founder and chief executive of EHM Cambodia, said the aim is a more consistent operating environment through centralised, automated processes, so staff spend less time on repetitive tasks. He pointed to Hotelogix's "faster implementation and quicker go-live process" and its structured training and support as factors in the decision. He also said the group plans to use AI for revenue and guest experience, with Hotelogix as the platform for it.

Sivaprasad Gangadharan, chief sales officer at Hotelogix, said growth-minded groups are "rethinking their technology foundation".

The context behind the deal

Cambodia's hotel sector is projected to grow at 9.2% a year through 2028, and international groups are expanding in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville. That is the pressure a regional operator like EHM feels. It competes with chains that already run centralised systems, while planning its own expansion into neighbouring Southeast Asian countries.

Hotelogix says it serves more than 12,000 hotels including 250 groups across more than 100 countries, from a Singapore base with offices in the US, India, the UAE, Thailand and the Philippines. Its distribution brand AxisRooms covers channel management, revenue management and rate shopping.

What the announcement leaves out

There is no contract value, no timeline and no room count. The release does not say which properties went live when, or whether all 16 are running yet. The AI plans are intent rather than deployment.

The 9.2% growth projection is a market forecast, not a Hotelogix result. The FIFA 2022 reference in the release, covering more than 500 properties in Qatar, has nothing to do with this deal. Both are there to signal capacity rather than to describe what happened in Cambodia.

What it means for operators

The interesting detail is the reason given, which is not features. It is implementation speed and the ability to see 16 properties at once.

That is the recurring trade for a mid-sized regional group. A single multi-property system is rarely the strongest product at any one job. It wins because the alternative is reconciling 16 of them by hand, and because the head office number arrives the same day rather than the following week.

If you are weighing the same move, the question worth asking EHM's vendor is what happened to the data in those disparate systems. Consolidation announcements describe the destination. The cost sits in the migration, and no release has ever led with that.
