Hospitable's rebuilt calendar is now on for everyone, and you can keep smart lock codes hidden until you choose

Hospitable has made its new calendar the default for every account, ending the beta. If you manage a large portfolio, this is the update you will notice within a minute of logging in.
The rebuilt calendar loads the dates you are looking at first and fills in the rest behind the scenes, so it opens almost immediately instead of drawing the whole grid. Price, availability, minimum stay and note changes no longer redraw everything on screen, and moving between months and properties stays responsive on accounts with many listings. The design around it changed too: a new header, updated filters, cleaner task views and a rebuilt mobile experience.
Hospitable says the rollout followed a beta period and a run of performance work. The practical test is whether a 60 property account can now be repriced without waiting on the grid, which is where the old calendar struggled.
Smart lock details are now yours to time
The more interesting change is in the guest portal. The Getting Inside panel can be customised to match your check in process, switched off entirely so guests never see smart lock details, or timed, so you decide when a guest sees their entry code and lock controls.
That last option closes a real gap. Until now, a guest with a confirmed booking could see door access information well before arrival, which is fine for a lockbox and less fine for a code that opens the property today. Managers running same day turnovers or dealing with a cancelled stay now have a way to hold access back until it is due.
Airbnb rejections stop being a mystery
When Airbnb rejects an update pushed from Hospitable, you now get a clear alert that links straight to the field that caused it. Rejected values are marked as not saved, a plain language reason appears under the field, and the warning clears once Airbnb accepts the correction. Settings on your other channels are left alone.
Anyone who has watched a price or a rule silently fail to arrive on Airbnb will understand why this matters more than it sounds. The failure mode before was not an error, it was an absence.
One setting for exact location
Whether guests can see a property's exact location is now controlled from a single setting in the Location tab, and it applies to every linked channel, with per channel overrides if you need them. Existing channel privacy preferences have been imported and are kept in sync.
Read the default carefully: new Vrbo listings created through Hospitable now show the exact location. If you deliberately hide precise addresses, either for owner privacy or because of a building rule, check that setting on any listing you create from now on rather than assuming the old behaviour carried over.
Smaller items
Direct booking guests who have trip insurance available now get a purchase option in their confirmation email, which links through to the guest portal. The Metrics reservations export has a new Refund column, available from the column picker, where refunds such as a returned cleaning fee show next to the payout as negative amounts. That is a small change with a real effect on month end reconciliation, since refunds previously had to be inferred.
The same update also lists the rental agreement additions to the API, MCP and webhooks, which Hospitable shipped earlier and we covered on 20 October.
Hospitable has not said what, if anything, these changes mean for plan tiers. Everything described here appears to reach all accounts, with the smart lock timing controls and the location setting sitting in the standard property and guest portal configuration rather than behind an add-on.
