Hospitable ships split payouts and claims a category first

Hospitable has launched Split Payouts, which divides booking revenue between a property manager and the owner automatically at check-in rather than leaving the manager to move money manually afterwards. It went live on 18 September.
For anyone managing properties on behalf of owners, this is the chore that eats a morning every month. Money lands in the manager's account, then gets reconciled, split, and paid out on whatever cycle the management agreement specifies. Doing it at check-in, per booking, removes the reconciliation step and shortens the gap between a guest arriving and an owner being paid.
Hospitable describes itself as the first property management software to support native split payouts. That claim is worth treating carefully. Several competitors offer owner payouts and owner statements, and the distinction Hospitable is drawing is on the word native, meaning without a third-party payments layer bolted on. It is a defensible claim on that reading. It is not the same as saying nobody else can split a payout.
Two related changes shipped alongside it and both are opt-out rather than opt-in, so check your settings.
Nightly rates now display in the Owner Portal calendar by default. Hospitable frames this as transparency, and for most manager-owner relationships it is. If your management agreement is built on a margin the owner does not see line by line, this is a default that changes a conversation you may not have planned to have. You can turn it off.
Separately, Hospitable has changed how Airbnb bedding types map to Vrbo. Airbnb couch beds now map to single sofa beds on Vrbo, and Airbnb toddler beds now map to child beds instead of cribs. Existing Vrbo listings update automatically. If your listings depend on precise occupancy or bed configuration, worth a spot check after it applies.
The rest of the release is smaller. Task payments can be marked as paid off platform, in which case Hospitable stops topping up or auto-approving and releases any reserved funds back to your balance. Teammate photo uploads now generate a link that carries the property location, timestamp, device and a map view, which is aimed squarely at insurance and damage claims. The Daily Operations panel on the dashboard takes week, month and custom date filters, and remembers the choice. Wi-Fi network and password now appear in the Guest Portal from check-in to checkout.
The thread running through this release is owner relations rather than guest experience, which is a sensible place for Hospitable to push. Winning the manager who reports to owners means winning the software decision, and payout mechanics are one of the few things in this category that a manager can point at and show an owner a clear improvement.
