Owner portal
A self-service web area where the owner of a rental unit can see how their property is performing without asking the manager. It is standard in vacation rental management, [[condo hotel]] operations and holiday park software.
A typical owner portal shows gross revenue, deductions and net payout, usually alongside occupancy, [[ADR]] and [[RevPAR]] for that unit. Most also give access to historical [[owner statement]]s and invoices, so an owner can retrieve a document themselves instead of emailing for it. Many let owners book their own stays, with the manager capping this by nights per year or by a credit budget.
The business case is retention rather than efficiency. Owner churn is often driven by a sense that the numbers are opaque, so a portal is sold as a way to keep owners and win new ones from competitors. The trade-off to watch is write access: portals that let owners add or edit reservations put a second set of hands on your calendar, so permissions matter as much as the reporting.
