Apaleo and IDeaS have expanded their integration so that revenue decisions flow in both directions between the two systems. The change that matters for operators is on the return leg: IDeaS can now write overbooking limits, minimum length of stay and Last Room Value decisions back into Apaleo, instead of only handing over rate recommendations.

The announcement was made on 14 September 2026.

What actually changed

The two systems already talked to each other. What is new is the depth and the direction of that conversation.

Apaleo sends IDeaS live reservation and stay data. IDeaS sends back pricing recommendations, forecasting output and, newly, advanced revenue controls. Those controls are the practical part. Overbooking limits, minimum length of stay rules and Last Room Value decisions are the levers a revenue manager pulls after looking at a forecast, and until now they had to be pulled by hand in the PMS.

The pricing and forecasting work at room type, product type and market segment level, and the integration supports multi-property portfolios rather than single properties only.

"Partnering with IDeaS strengthens our mission to give hospitality operators flexibility to build a tech stack that works the way they do," said Uli Pillau, Apaleo's chief executive.

"Both companies are well positioned to harness leading-edge AI capabilities to deliver greater value," said Klaus Kohlmayr, chief evangelist at IDeaS.

Availability

The integration is reachable through Apaleo's integration marketplace and through the IDeaS partner ecosystem. Neither company stated regional restrictions or which pricing tiers this falls under, so if either matters to you, that is a question for your account manager rather than something to assume from the announcement.

What it means for operators

Two-way beats one-way, and the reason is dull but real. An RMS that only sends recommendations leaves a person in the middle, copying numbers across. That person is a bottleneck, and every manual step is a chance for the PMS and the RMS to end up disagreeing about what the restrictions actually are. Writing controls straight back removes both problems.

It also changes what your system does on its own. Overbooking limits and minimum stay rules set automatically will hold the line in ways your team may not expect, particularly around high-demand dates where a front desk manager would previously have used judgement. Before you switch this on, agree internally on who can override an IDeaS-set restriction and under what circumstances. The integration does not answer that for you.

There is a wider point here about how Apaleo competes. Apaleo is an API-first PMS that has always argued operators should assemble their own stack rather than take everything from one vendor. That argument only works if the integrations are deep enough to be worth choosing. A partner writing revenue controls directly into the PMS is a more convincing version of that case than a partner directory with a lot of logos in it.

For existing Apaleo and IDeaS customers there is no forced migration and no deadline attached. The expanded capabilities are available through the marketplace when you want them.
